A Coalition of Integrity Political Parties (CIPP) was on Friday 7th of June 2019 inaugurated in Abuja.

The inauguration which took place at Chelsea Hotel situated in the heart of the Federal Capital Territory saw 35 political parties merge together while drumming support for the President Buhari led governments.

While addressing the press and the general public during the inauguration in Abuja on Friday, the spokesperson of the coalition and National Chairman of New Generation Party Dr. Yakubu Shendam said, that “the Coalition of Integrity Political Parties (CIPP) is a convergence of consciousness, interests and commitment, with the resolve to work coherently in a singleness of political views and activities, supporting the administration of the Federal Government by the President and Commander-In-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, to deliver the best of democratic and good conscience governance in advancing the leadership of the Nigerian Nation”

Dr. Yakubu maintained that unlike the previous coalitions, CIPP represents a clear breakaway from the old antagonistic order of reckless political, verbal and unethical media attacks on the personality and the office of the President of Nigeria and other well meaning and respected statesmen who share in the singleness of commitment, which is to enforce an all-inclusive joint interest in sustaining, protecting and developing the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

The National Spokesperson of the coalition Dr. Yakubu Shendam further stated that endorsing the President Buhari’s led government was spurred by “the many successes of the administration, including, strides in the fight against insurgency especially in the Northern Nigeria; efforts to redress the country’s huge infrastructural deficit, policy trust and human capital development; determination to boost the economic growth and the yeoman’s fight against corruption, among others.”

He prayed Mr. President in this new administration to extend a hand of fellowship to Nigerians of good faith who will be of great asset in driving home his good plans and agenda while assuring the President, the incoming leadership of the National Assembly, state and local governments, Agencies of government at all levels and other party stakeholders and all Nigerians the Coalition’s readiness to deploy all machineries of the various affiliated political parties to play active and responsive role in making Nigeria a better place for all.
