NASS Leadership: New formed Coalition Party endorses Gbajabiamila as Speaker of the 9th House of Representatives

The Newly formed Coalition of Integrity Political Parties has endorsed the Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila, as the Speaker of the Ninth (9th) House of Representatives.

The National Spokesperson of the newly formed Coalition of Integrity Political Parties (CIPP) who made this know during their inauguration on Friday June 7th in Abuja told pressmen the Legislator who have been elected three (3) consecutive times to the Green Chambers is the most qualified for the job given that he is well respected across the two chambers.

“The Coalition of Integrity Political Parties wishes to use this opportunity to announce our firm and unequivocal choice and support for the candidature of Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila as the Speaker of the Ninth House of Representatives…

“Nigerians should know better that Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila is not only a fine legislator but a respected one across the two (2) Chambers of the National Assembly; thus, well deserving of his personality, capacity and experience in assuming the mantle of leadership of the House of Representatives..

“In line therefore, with our resolve, the Coalition have further observed the unhealthy approach, utterances and unnecessary legal and media attacks on the person of Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila, who has been a respected Honourable Member of the House of Representatives for over eight years now, elected the Majority Leader by the House party in Majority without any criminal indictment with his constituents electing him for the 3rd time to the 9th House of Representatives..

“It will therefore, be considered foolhardy that a respected Nigerian citizen who has been elected to the House of Representatives on 3 occasions as an Honourable Member and Majority Leader of the House with all security screening conducted and concluded without any indictment, could be besieged by these lightweight political folks who should have deployed such energies in winning elections for their political parties to the Green Chambers …" Dr. Yakubu said in his address.

“Hence all operations of the Coalition have been geared towards ensuring the successful actualization of this project and for a better leadership of the House of Representatives, and by extension, translate into meaningful policy development and administration for all Nigerians….’’ he concluded
